Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensively test code changes in the Genie desktop product and its supporting applications, to ensure they work as expected and fulfill the agreed acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with other QAs on the team to develop testing strategies and ensure we deliver our work to a high standard
  • Collaborate with the product manager to triage defects and unexpected behaviour, factoring in user experience, quality, feature completeness and time constraints
  • Develop test plans for upcoming product development. Design, implement and document comprehensive test cases to ensure consistent quality for future changes
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline testing processes and either make these changes or discuss ways to implement them with your team
  • Apply the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Make use of desk checks and pairing to share knowledge and assist with handover from developers
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn related skills, such as user experience evaluation, building & deploying applications or familiarising yourself with the codebase
  • Be an active member of an agile team: participate in scrum ceremonies and work collaboratively towards the sprint goal
  • Fulfill other duties as reasonably required by the business
  • Foster close collaboration with the rest of your team, and other teams within the business such as Customer Support, to efficiently solve problems and achieve product goals
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with team members and company personnel
  • Utilise feedback from internal and external stakeholders
