JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is a full-time role as a Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability of our digital properties. You will work closely with other QA Analysts, engineers, product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high quality products across a variety of business units. You will be part of an agile team where you will test against fully defined requirements, identify project risks, contribute to scoping estimates, engage in release planning, and support large-scale production deployments.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will have a strong background in web testing, content management systems, API testing, analytics testing, ads testing, video stream testing, and analytics validation. You will follow up on issues, create detailed test plans, and improve the QA process within the SDLC. You will report to the Manager of QA and communicate on all aspects of the Fox digital websites and mobile apps.

• Take ownership and become the subject-matter expert in all Fox domains, including the Fox News, Fox Business, and Fox Weather websites
• Lead and participate in hands-on testing for newly spun up projects from the ground up
• Manually perform regression tests to sign off on pre-production releases
• Collaborate with Frontend/Backend Developers, Product, Design, and Technical Requirements Managers on quality best practices during project planning and E2E testing cycle
• Routinely contribute to test case documentation and expand our test suite coverage for newly added features and products
• Support releases and production deployments by running smoke tests and validating features, which may occasionally occur off-hours
• Identify and follow up on issues by communicating, tracking, and reporting on all aspects of QA testing
• Troubleshoot outages to support the development team and sign off on hotfixes
• Act as point of escalation for all technical features and issues, which includes detailed bug analysis and clarifying expected behaviors
• Work within an Agile environment by participating in standups, sprint plannings, pointing sessions, and retrospectives
• Engage in project planning meetings, including providing both high-level and low-level estimates for new features introduced in the roadmap
• Create reports on testing activities, metrics, and blockers during your day-to-day
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to guarantee we are providing the best product
• Identify and document process and workflow improvements for the QA team
