Description:

Purpose of this position: The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for validating the quality of web, mobile, and desktop applications. Collaborating closely with agile development teams, this role involves designing and executing scripted tests to guarantee the release of high-quality products. The ideal candidate for this position should excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, bringing strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to excellence in software development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Execute and document test cases with precision.
  • Efficiently identify, log, and track software defects in bug tracking systems.
  • Maintain adherence to Quality Assurance processes and standards.
  • Perform comprehensive functional, regression, and system testing.
  • Engage in test plan development and test case creation.
  • Manage test documentation, including test plans, cases, and data sets.
  • Contribute to the setup and maintenance of test environments.
  • Provide insights on software usability and user experience to enhance product quality.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements and tackle issues effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is required, with a preference for majors in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Mathematics, or fields related to accounting. A degree in History will also be considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or customer support in a software environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in test plan management software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Extensive experience with testing complex web-based software, including mobile applications across various platforms and browsers.
  • Experience in testing web services and APIs.
  • Familiarity with executing and understanding relational database queries using SQL.
  • Practical experience in mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms.
