PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with software testing suites
  • Understanding of databases
  • Ability to execute simple SQL commands
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use remote control software
  • Detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; and work well in group problem-solving situations
  • Prior experience with accounting and/or Property Management software preferred
  • Prior programming experience (object-oriented programming language) preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Test software programs to compare to specifications and documentation.
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content.
  • Establish benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times.
  • Create test cases and test data.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using software programs.
  • Respond to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs.
  • Contribute to establishment of standards and procedures for program design and testing.
  • Recommend program improvements or revisions to programmers.
  • Review computer logs and reports to identify program processing errors and possible improvements.
  • Coordinate testing by users and third parties.
  • Identify program variances from standards and suggest modifications to conform to standards.
  • Assist users to isolate possible problems in software after implementation.
  • Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments.
  • Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent recurrence of program operating problems, and to ensure efficiency of operation.
  • Document, track, and communicate test plans, test results, analysis, and unresolved problems.
  • Develop computer programs to test, track, and verify defects in software programs.
  • Train and support users.
  • Review and contribute to software program documentation.
