Description:

  • Senior Quality role for experienced Registered Nurse / Clinical & Quality Coord
  • Auckland based, with local & national travel to care homes within the group

    Medcall is working with our client, a well-respected provider of residential aged care facilities around NZ, to find the very best person for this role!

Working closely with the GM of Clinical & Quality, you will be relied on to:

  • Oversee quality standards across the organisation
  • Create and manage a Quality Assurance programme
  • Prepare sites for certification and internal audits
  • Run Facility Health Checks
  • Benchmark clinical care, analyse & compile reporting
  • Survey staff and residents to assess satisfaction
  • Manage complaints process, investigations and quality improvements
  • Drive a culture of ongoing clinical and operational improvement.

Working from the Auckland office in Newmarket, you will often be on-site at one of the facilities (North & South Islands), providing input, support and guidance to the Care Home Managers and clinical teams there, ensuring their processes and sites align with compliance standards.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Several years’ experience in a clinical leadership role in NZ’s aged care or clinical healthcare sectors
  • (Ideally) Understanding of Sector Guidance for Nga Parewa HDSS NZS 8134 : 2021 and Residential Aged Care Contract, and the Designated Agency Audit Handbook (MOH NZ)
  • NZ Nursing registration and current APC
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft, Excel) and experience using various IT platforms
  • Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
  • An eye for detail, precision, and to constantly be looking for ways to initiate improvements
  • Incredible interpersonal skills & the ability to bring people along with you for the ride
  • Empathy, understanding and compassion
  • Professionalism and the ability to work with a wide range of personnel
  • Ability to juggle a busy workload, prioritising and meeting deadlines
  • The ability to travel nationally, visiting Care Homes within the group
  • To be happy working autonomously, whilst maintaining close contact with the GM of Clinical & Quality
  • and a great sense of humour wouldn’t go amiss either!
