Responsibilities:

  • Participates in new business opportunities by evaluating customer requirements and developing gaging strategies within budgetary constraints.
  • Leads the development of strategies and quality documentation for new product launches, ensuring adherence to standards and incorporating lessons learned from past projects.
  • Assists in the development of APQP documentation and conducts process capability studies to ensure stable and robust manufacturing processes.
  • Supports problem-solving efforts during the launch phase and facilitates the New Product Review process.
  • Maintains and improves the plant’s quality system, including developing procedures, conducting audits, and training personnel.
  • Engages with customers and suppliers on quality issues, implements corrective actions, and supports lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Provides expertise in statistical methods, SPC, and inspection tools, and contributes to a positive work environment through professional conduct and collaboration.
  • Monitors customer feedback and communicates trends to management for review.
  • Leads and trains teams in strategies and quality plans, providing guidance and instruction to operations and site quality employees.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Comprehensive training in Statistical Process Control techniques, including thorough understanding and practical application of methodologies for analyzing and improving processes.
  • Successful completion of a course in reading blueprints, which includes understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Proficient in quality control practices, statistical methods, and mathematics including statistics, trigonometry, solid geometry, and algebra.
  • Proficient in Gage R&R methodologies and SQC Pack, ensuring measurement system reliability and accuracy in manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) - Preferred
