Why this role is important to us
Valuation and Market Data is a product area of SimCorp Product Division, and responsible for pricing, key ratios, market/static data, application programming interfaces for financial instruments, implementation of majority of the financial engineering calculations, yield and volatility curves, factor attribution, and generic decomposition. This is one of the core areas in SimCorp Dimension® and it is an excellent opportunity to grow into both business side of financial instruments as well as software engineering in a highly skilled, highly diverse, at the same time highly helpful and supportive work environment.
The product area is composed of six scrum teams, and position is in a team where software engineers are located and distributed in Copenhagen and Ukraine. This is a well functioning and established team, and we are looking forward to getting a new colleague onboard.
You will also need to work with Product Owners, System Architects, a community of subject matter experts, and time to time collaboration with other Engineers in Product area and organization, to build new and maintain existing systems.
What you will be responsible for

You will be responsible for testing the financial solutions of SimCorp Dimension®, improving automation testing where possible. Part of the job is seeing different possibilities to move manual test flows to automation and helping to improve by giving good suggestions to teams building testing framework.

• Working with product management and your team to refine new features.
• Giving feedback on the product through exploratory testing.
• Creating, automating, and maintaining test scenarios.
• Build in quality thinking, mentoring team in test automation and help putting right mindset.
• Continuously learning, as well as developing yourself, the team, and our product.
• Gain knowledge of financial instruments and became an expert of a few financial instruments.

What you will bring

The following points would make you a stronger candidate:

• Curiosity, and attention to details
• Academic degree in:

Software engineering (or other engineering areas) and eager to gain financial knowledge Or

Financial areas and eager to gain software engineering knowledge.

• Experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Experience in financial instruments, or the desire to learn.
• Familiarity with (or interest to learn) programming and have desire to grow further.
