Description:

HILL INTERNATIONAL IS SEEKING A PART-TIME QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA

  • Responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and maintaining an effective quality program to verify that all equipment, structures, components, systems, and facilities are designed, procured, constructed, installed, and maintained in accordance with established Project criteria and applicable codes and standards throughout the EBRC design, construction, start-up and commissioning
  • Review contract documents to identify project quality requirements
  • Review, evaluate and recommend acceptance of contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager
  • Review, evaluate and recommend acceptance of Contractor and major supplier quality assurance and quality control program manuals, plans and procedures
  • Perform quality audits and surveillance of contractors, and supplier’s implementation of their quality program implementation
  • Identify and analyze non-conformances
  • Oversee development and verify implementation of corrective actions
  • Coordinate with Resident Engineer and Inspectors for construction quality status and problem resolution
  • Perform or coordinate root cause analysis activities, as appropriate, to resolve project problems
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in heavy civil construction
  • Transportation / Rail experience preferred
  • Part Time Position; Roughly 20 hours per week
  • Must have very strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    The hourly range for this position is $75-$100. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
