Quality Assurance Engineer

Marshall have announced that they will be moving this role to Alconbury Weald (PE28). Planned move will be towards the end of 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Write, implement and maintain Project Quality plans.
  • Conduct Project audits to demonstrate compliance to the specific project defined plans and processes.
  • Conduct audits on products and project deliverables to determine robustness of internal systems in delivery to customer needs and expectations.
  • Management of Audit non-conformances to ensure timely closure of actions.
  • Generate and maintain appropriate KPI’s to demonstrate process and product effectiveness.
  • Investigating quality failures, identifying trends, assisting the relevant CA/PA owners in the determination of root cause and monitoring of the stated containment, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Conducting Internal and Customer complaint RCCA.
  • Manage third party approvals – typically CSC design approval, test and certification.
  • Manage the release of products to the customer, host customer acceptance events, raise any non-conformances and monitor/manage their closure.
  • Visiting supplier facilities to conduct FAT/FAI activities.
  • Monitoring and facilitating closure non-conformances. Both internal and external.
  • Regular supplier surveillance visits.
  • Conduct configuration audits and First Article acceptance of supplied items prior to release to ensure supplied goods meet the defined specification.
  • Perform Quality Assurance duties as defined by the Project Quality Lead.

Qualification/Experience

  • Experience in project/product auditing.
  • Experience in the implementation and writing processes and procedures.
  • Have experience of implementing continuous improvement using standard quality tools such as 5 Why’s , 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.
  • Experience of applying auditing techniques within the supply chain.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel and Visio are essential.
  • Knowledge of coating applications and appropriate process control.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process controls associated with Electro-mechanical products including welding.

Desirable:

  • Member of the Chartered Quality Institute and IRCA registered.
  • Knowledge of Q-Pulse.
  • Auditor qualified to ISO9001.
