NantHealth is seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join the team! The Quality Assurance Engineer performs manual and automated testing activities for the software engineering quality assurance function, executing tests on our web-based SaaS system in various stages of development. The QA Engineer is responsible to report test results and testing status, along with tracking issues from discovery and submittal through resolution verification and closure. We’re seeking an individual with previous experience or familiarity with our NantHealth product line.

Responsibilities include, but are note limited to:

  • Develop an intimate understanding of the form, purpose, goals and functions of the system
  • Analyze and provide actionable feedback of the system requirements and design specifications
  • Coordinate with various technical and non-technical staff to understand system models, diagrams, test plans, and requirements
  • Communicate and promote consensus among system stakeholders (project managers, business analysts, developers, testers, etc.) as to expected system behavior
  • Perform scripted and exploratory manual testing
  • Report bugs and verify bug fixes
  • Perform regression testing
  • Create, maintain, execute, and/or evaluate the results of automated tests as needed
  • Support all areas of the testing effort as needed

Education and Experience:

  • B.S. degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or health informatics is required
  • Minimum 3 years prior software testing experience is required
  • Prior experience working on and advanced knowledge of the Eviti Connect platform (strongly preferred)
  • Prior experience, training, or education in health IT, health informatics, or related field is a plus
  • Prior experience, training, or education in oncology, pharmaceuticals, EMRs, and/or health insurance is a plus
  • Prior experience with Microsoft development and collaboration tools is a plus: Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, Microsoft Test Manager/Test Professional, and/or Test Hub
  • Prior experience with SOAP and REST web services are a plus
  • Prior experience with Selenium is a plus

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Detective mindset for identifying and reproducing software flaws
  • Understand the principles and concepts used to select and focus on important test cases from among all possible test cases
  • Action-oriented with ability to deliver timely results and useful feedback with minimal supervision
  • Quick learner, especially with respect to technology, web applications, clinical, and insurance topics, with minimal specifications and while the system is not necessarily in a functional state (i.e. features are in development)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and follow-up skills
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills and ability to bridge the gaps between technical and non-technical personnel, and between clinical and non-clinical personnel
  • Ability to accurately and specifically describe issues with system functionality and the steps to take to reproduce them
  • Detail oriented and knack for probing for information
  • Knowledge of HIPPA compliance and Accessibility (WCAG 2.0 level AA) compliance as applied to web applications are a plus
  • SQL skills are a plus
  • Security testing skills are a plus

The salary range for remote US-based applicants for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

  • $65,000 - $87,000 base salary, plus bonus potential.
