Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

During your two-year Apprenticeship, you will learn how to ensure that the organisation consistently functions well through the investigation, analysis and application of recognised industry tools and processes. You will also learn how to identify, and interpret and apply relevant regulations to the business, and to communicate these effectively to all relevant stakeholders. In addition to studying for your Quality Practitioner Level 4 qualification, you will be supported and mentored by experienced Quality Engineers and Auditors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties will include but not be limited to:
§ Support the Quality department in the on-going upkeep and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to maintain compliance to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and other subscribed requirements.
§ Assist the QA Team Leader in generating daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports, highlighting key areas of improvement for investigation.
§ Support Thompson Valves’ internal audit program including creating audit reports, raising Corrective Action Reports (CARs) for any non-conformities, and following actions to verification and closure.
§ Contribute to the Quality Assurance team during customer and regulatory audits and assessments.
§ Attend the Apprenticeship Provider’s lessons as required and Submit assignments and coursework in a timely manner and to an appropriate standard.
§ Continually promote a strong nuclear safety culture.
§ Work in a safe, tidy manner in line with Company policy.
§ Work in accordance with health and safety requirements.
§ Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.
