About the Role
Quality Bakers Auckland is New Zealand’s largest plant bakery manufacturing some of New Zealand’s most loved brands such as Vogel’s, Freya’s, Molenberg, and Natures Fresh. It has 5 plants, running 24/7 to produce 74 different products daily.
As the Quality Assurance Manager for Quality Bakers Auckland you will lead and direct the site quality systems, food safety program, and manage compliance issues whilst embedding quality ownership and culture across the site.

In order to make this happen, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being an influential and effective leader on site, working with the Site Leadership team, Team Leaders and wider team to develop a positive Quality Culture.
  • Develop best practice in all aspects of food safety, quality and compliance that is integrated with people and processes to meet GMP standards
  • Ensure a continuous reduction of consumer complaints by using root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Lead the site quality and food safety systems including allergen management and food security to meet regulatory and customer expectations
  • Manage internal and external audit systems to ensure the quality and food safety systems meet regulatory and customer requirements and that procedures are being followed

About You
In order to make this role a success you will be an experienced Quality Leader who has prior experience in leading a team within the food manufacturing environment.

Skillsets, qualifications and experience we are looking for include:

  • The ability to influence key stakeholders and grow a strong quality culture
  • Proven leadership experience of leading a team and developing people
  • Experience in Food safety, HACCP, QA & GFSI standards
  • A track record of continuous improvement and demonstrated experience implementing operational efficiencies and improved results
