Dataminr’s Quality Program Managers are an essential component of our company’s success - ensuring the alerts we send to our clients are of the best possible quality and are making the AI platform more advanced. As a Quality Program Manager on our HALO team, you will oversee and coordinate multiple projects related to the annotation, labeling, and editing of signals from our data feeds. You will be an integral part of our algorithm training process and our advanced realtime human-AI feedback loop that integrates key knowledge domains into our AI models.
Your main duties will include organizing various programs and activities to improve quality, accuracy, and efficiencies; building long-term goals for company projects; and ensuring successful delivery of these.
As a Quality Program Manager, you will also play a key role in defining new factors to improve our alerts, data source coverage, machine learning and AI models.
Please note that this role requires project work and meetings outside of business hours.

The Opportunity

  • Oversee the implementation and day-to-day management of Dataminr quality and accuracy programs, working with in-house experts and vendor partners.
  • Support strategic and operational planning, bringing expertise and experience to scaling / rapid growth challenges.
  • Conduct daily analysis and deep-dives into aspects of Dataminr’s quality and accuracy programs and operational processes, in order to identify quality improvement and innovation opportunities.
  • Facilitate program success through KPIs and strategic performance management.
  • Devise new programs that support the organization’s objectives.
  • Work cross functionally to drive efficient and priority-driven operations.
  • Communicate initiatives to strategic partners, ensuring maximum awareness and acting on input.
  • Identify any software issues to elevate to our product and engineering teams.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in project management or operations management.
  • Passion for breaking news, current world events, technology, and a great understanding of both social media and publicly available data.
  • Experience creating and leading executive-level presentations, including high level of proficiency with analytical and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Slides)
  • Experience in or a willingness to learn analytic languages (e.g., SQL, Python, BigQuery) and/or visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
  • Deep understanding of geopolitical risk issues that affect all continents and industries.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze data in a fast-paced environment in both English and relevant language, if necessary.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
