About the role
We are currently seeking a driven Quality Assurance Technician (fixed term) to join the Quality team in our Production Bottling Plant located in Dublin. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for continuously identifying operational and commercial improvements while championing and enabling the delivery of exceptional quality standards across bottling operations. Collaborating with operators and engineers you will be assisting with any issues and finding the root cause across the packaging production line, conduct audits, inspections and support the lab when required. The successful candidate will be required to work the site shift pattern and night shifts.

What’s involved?

  • Pro-actively engage with bottling operations team to establish and remove barriers to conformance
  • Co-ordinate with cross functional teams to sustain and improve product quality
  • Assist or lead Internal Audits and inspections
  • Identify potential issues throughout production and quality processes, use structured problem-solving techniques to ensure measures are put in place to detect and prevent reoccurrence
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environment, and quality legislation, procedures and standards in the workplace
  • Champion and promote compliance to quality standards, adherence to ISO 9000 and FSSC 22000 standards
  • Investigate, report and action on material related non-conformances whilst liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and develop continuous improvement plans
  • Conduct laboratory testing and calibration of equipment as required
  • Attain plant & group KPI’s

What are we looking for?

  • A Third Level Degree in the areas of Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a lean manufacturing environment
  • The successful candidate will be required to work the site shift pattern and night shifts
  • A decisive, motivated self-starter with a proven ability to bring new value adding ideas and solutions to the team
  • Strong team player with an ability to influence both peer to peer and upwards
  • Developed ability to build genuine and productive professional relationships
  • Excellent listening skills, attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent process improvement and problem-solving skills
  • Data driven, with an understanding of lean manufacturing
