  • Diploma/Degree Level Food Science Qualification or relevant laboratory and/or industry experience
  • Appropriate experience in food laboratories

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technologist will be responsible for both Wet and Dry Quality Assurance Testing of Raw Materials and Finished Goods.
Work Location : Murarrie - Brisbane
Reporting to : Quality Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Required to perform routine QA tasks as outlined in the Quality Policies Manual and associated procedures and work instructions. This includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Finished product bench testing
  • CCP verification checks
  • Input QA data into SAP System as part of the positive release
  • Raise NC and block stock. Follow up on non-conforming stock as required
  • Complete internal daily calibration
  • Complete Temperature Checks for Chillers
  • Raw Material Releasing and COA Reviews
  • Maintain QA retain procedures for sample
  • Undertake other related activities as may be required
  • Assist in shelf life testing for Finished Goods and Raw Materials
  • Assist with Shelf Life Validation Program
  • Investigate, record and notify any and all production incidents/ issue during shift as required
  • Assist in Finished Good Allergen validation
  • Micro/Gluten Sample Packing were required for shipment to 3rd party testing laboratory. This also includes completion of submission forms
  • Water and airplate testing when required
  • Working closely with the production team members to ensure compliance to the Kerry Quality Systems
  • Continual improvement of products and quality systems
  • Assist in individual problem resolutions
  • Internal auditing – participate in internal audits of the Site Quality System following the direction of the QS Team and assist in routine GMP/Bucket Walks
  • Ensure that Laboratory equipment and cleanliness are maintained to the highest possible standard
