REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the gaming industry
  • Minimum one year of game testing or development experience
  • Experience with bug tracking software
  • Experience in playing VR/XR games - VR/XR testing experience is a plus
  • The ability to play VR/XR games for an extended period of time, with the likelihood of playing without optimal performance
  • Must have strong communication and time management skills
  • Knowledge/experience with Unreal Engine 4

USEFUL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of Source Control Softwares - Perforce experience is a plus
  • Experience with Jira task management Software

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Dark Slope is looking for a QA Tester for an approximately 6-month contract to support the release of one of our upcoming projects. If you have prior QA experience in VR/XR, Desktop, Mobile testing or a related field in the development pipeline, we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for games. As the QA Tester works closely with our development teams, the ideal candidate is a team player and strong communicator, and understands game development pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for testing game content to verify implementation of features against design specifications, check for bugs and ensure development meets hardware/platform requirements
  • Work with production team to maintain a reporting system that tracks and verifies fixes throughout the development cycle
  • Execute test cases during all phases of product development
  • Provide written and verbal reports on the state of bugs, features, performance, and playability
  • Escalate risks and blocking issues as soon as they are uncovered
  • Run build verification checklists against a range of devices and platforms
