QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Background: Associate or higher degree preferred; significant work experience in quality inspection within the plastic injection molding industry will be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, check fixtures, and digital cameras.
  • Team Orientation: Strong organizational skills and a collaborative team mindset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

  • First Article and VAS Board Maintenance: Ensure First Article parts and Visual Acceptance Standards are consistently upheld.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain process books with Engineering support, ensuring all parameters are accurately documented during each production run.
  • Dimensional Checks: Perform precise dimensional checks on manufactured parts.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct system, process, and product audits, communicating results to Supervisors and the Director of Quality.
  • Supplier Interactions: Perform receiving inspections and supplier audits as required.
  • Production Support: Provide training and guidance to the Production Team as needed.
  • Engineering Support: Assist in tool trials and support Engineering Team activities.
  • Problem Solving: Engage in supplier and customer problem-solving initiatives.
  • Quality Containment: Lead and participate in quality containment actions.
  • 5S Initiatives: Promote and support plant-wide cleanliness, organization, and safety initiatives.
  • Professional Representation: Represent the Quality function professionally to new and existing production team members.
  • Collaboration: Build effective working relationships with Production Supervisors, Operations/Plant Manager, Process Engineers, Application Engineers, Tool-room Team, and Administrative Team.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
  • Professional Interaction: Interact respectfully and professionally with clients and coworkers.
  • Flexibility: Be available for overtime and rotating shifts as needed.
