- Prior experience implementing automation.
- Prior experience with virtualisation and containerisation.

- Proficiency using 3D printers.

Responsibilities:
OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
- Ensure that products are tested to a known and accepted standard before being released to customers.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation so that the test process is as fast as it can be while maintaining its effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for process and infrastructure improvement that will improve quality and participate in implementation efforts as they occur.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities for the QA/Automation Engineer will include but not be limited to:
- Meet with Developers and Product Owners to understand the key parameters of the products to be tested.
- Have a good understanding of the existing test infrastructure and keep it in good working order.
- Attend the physical location of test infrastructure (including offsite locations) for regular inspection, maintenance and upgrade activities.
- Design, implement and document test procedures for products.
- Document test plans, perform tests as required and document the results in test reports.
- Recognise and identify problems in the testing process and respond appropriately.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- With utmost urgency, perform testing of specific scenarios in support of customer queries as they arise.
- Provide input to the development of customer-oriented documentation and training materials.
- Recognise and identify opportunities to introduce automation in the testing process, design and implement solutions to exploit those opportunities.
