Description:

THE PERSON:

You will have a tertiary qualification in food safety or in a related field. You would also have relevant experience in a similar role, especially within the food industry or a warehousing environment.

Preferably you will have experience in:

  • Project management,
  • Quality role in a meat manufacturing, seafood processing, prepared produce or large scale chilled distribution company.
  • Working within a Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence environment.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

  • Full-time permanent role
  • 5 days per week
  • Location: Ihumatao Road, Māngere, Auckland
  • Immediate start

You will be implementing food safety compliance policies and procedures, conducting internal audits and training staff on food safety and quality best practices. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and integrity of our products. The main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards, including the custom Food Control Plan.
  • Creating site-specific documents for quality and compliance requirements.
  • Conducting and coordinating training for staff.
  • Identifying areas for improvement through; analysis of complaints, investigations, internal audits, site inspections, and communication with others.
  • Creating and coordinating quality related corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
  • Promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline compliance processes
