Responsibilities:
- Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example; performs all work activities following all relevant safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates leadership in the lab when performing lab duties including preparing and running lab/plant formulation trials, cylinder/beam preparation, testing & data logging.
- Responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Management System and lab accreditation with CCIL or other.
- Technical expertise on concrete, aggregate and cement technology
- Communicates knowledge and tools to lab staff that arrive from the Holcim Research (HIC) knowledge and tools
- Assists in the development of standard operating procedures including the tracking of resources
- Assists with the collection, analyses and distribution of lab results including but not limited to report writing, issuing of product test reports/certificates.
- Selects & validates raw materials in accordance with the transfer tool kit and local specifications and standards
- Ensures all tests are conducted in accordance with applicable standards and internal Lafarge test protocols
- Prepares, organizes and gives product knowledge training sessions, development updates and demonstrations (employees, customers and product users)
- Prepares and performs formulation tests that support the creation, development and improvement of new and existing standard, premium, performance and specialty mixes
- Provides VAP training at the plant and market level as require
