Deveraux Developments is seeking a Quality Control Foreman to join our expanding team in Calgary. What you bring…

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong preference for roles involving quality control and quality assurance.
  • Relevant background in residential construction and expertise in Mechanical systems.
  • General familiarity and experience with Architectural, Structural, and Electrical aspects would be a valuable additional qualification.
  • Proven track record in formulating and executing project-specific quality and test plans.
  • Well-versed in quality management methodologies such as ISO 9001, and adept with pertinent construction standards like CSA A23.1.
  • Exceptional aptitude for time management and a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated capacity to plan and arrange tasks with clarity, conciseness, and punctuality.
  • Effective communication skills, encompassing both articulate verbal expression and precise written documentation.
  • Self-driven, motivated team contributor who excels within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in various software programs including Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Procore.

You will…

  • Perform thorough quality control inspections related to plumbing and HVAC systems within multi-family residential developments.
  • Effectively coordinate and provide valuable support for various quality control and quality assurance tasks on the project. These tasks encompass a range of activities such as organizing QA/QC meetings, utilizing comprehensive quality checklists, conducting inspections and tests, maintaining accurate quality records, and proficiently managing deficiencies.
  • Verify that the installation of mechanical components aligns with the project’s blueprints, specifications, and industry benchmarks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to promptly identify instances of non-conformities and diligently oversee the correct implementation of necessary corrective measures.
  • Contribute actively to identifying potential project risks and propose appropriate quality control and quality assurance strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Develop and ensure strict adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Skillfully maintain a well-organized repository of documentation and photographic evidence detailing the progression of inspected work across different construction phases. This includes the completion of Daily Inspection Reports.
  • Collaborate actively in the ongoing development and upkeep of comprehensive Quality Policies, Processes, Procedures, and their corresponding documents. Engage in the review of Quality-related materials and aid in implementing procedures that rigorously uphold compliance with industry codes, standards, regulations, and commitments.
  • Guarantee the receipt, comprehensive review, and maintenance of all quality records associated with the implementation of the quality program. This adherence should be in line with the project’s structured document control framework.
  • Possess a profound understanding of the fundamental principles underlying quality assurance and quality control.
  • Exhibit adeptness in comprehending and interpreting construction documents, architectural drawings, specifications, procedural guidelines, and established codes of practice.
  • Display prior hands-on experience in residential construction as an essential prerequisite.
  • Showcase a comprehensive grasp of plumbing and HVAC systems, underpinned by dedicated service training or practical experience.
