What You Will Do
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing and managing implementation of methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation. The QC manager has 2 QC Supervisors and 4 direct reports and will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and training the quality control staff. Managing the development and implementation of metrics and systems to measure and guide improvements to product and system quality and customer satisfaction. In Helsingborg we manufacture Nicorette and Rhinocort products for the global market found in over 80 countries.
The QC Manager is a member of the Quality and Compliance leadership team as well as member of the regional team of QC managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Lead and manage the quality control team to ensure compliance with quality standards and production schedules
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality control technology to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Train and mentor new quality control staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve product and system quality and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present quality control reports, requirements, and other information in response to business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement changes in production methods, tooling and equipment, space allocations, workforce utilization, production schedules, lines and other factors required to maintain or improve compliance with quality standards of existing products.
- Evaluate performance and provide opportunities for growth.
- Communicate department objectives, metrics and measure results.
- Responsible for performance of the Quality Control activities and continuous improvements to develop a high performing agile organization well integrated in the site and regional organization
- Financial responsibility for the departments expenses as well as investments, budget and cost control initiatives.
