Job Description
Turner and Townsend is looking for a Quality Control Manager to work on large scale ground-up Construction project that requires exceptional talent. QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction management, quality management or a related field
  • Industry certification in quality management, such as ASQ, ISO 9001 etc.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in construction quality management or a similar role
  • A strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, regulations and best practices
  • Experienced self-starter and full familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of new build construction, i.e., civil, structural, MEP, interiors, IT/AV, landscape, etc
  • A high level of attention to detail, accuracy and precision
  • A good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks

  • Onsite / in-office work is required. This is not a remote role (hybrid work flexibility may or may not be established after a demonstrated period depending on our client’s needs and employee’s performance.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Client Project Manager:

  • Develop and/or update quality management plans, policies and procedures for the project
  • Provide training and guidance to project staff and stakeholders on quality management requirements and best practices
  • Work with the General Contractor Quality Manager to ensure compliance with all applicable Contract Documents
  • Witness selected inspections and tests as required
  • Identify and document any contractual non conformances
  • Track any contractual non conformances to satisfactory closure
  • Work with contracted Commissioning agent to ensure compliance with their approved contract commissioning plan
  • Undertake daily construction site walks to monitor works and conduct sample inspections to ensure compliance with Contract Documents
  • Document results of inspections in quality surveillance reports
  • Work with Safety personnel (both General Contractor and Client) to identify potential hazards on the construction site
  • Work with Construction Manager to prioritize focus areas during Construction
  • Attend pre-installation meetings between General Contractor and Sub-Contractors
  • Liaise with Architect/Engineer and General Contractor on questions relating to non-compliance, RFI’s, submittals, constructing in accordance with Contract Documents, client expectations etc.
  • Ensure installed equipment matches approved product data submittals
  • Review product data, informational submittals and RFI’s
  • Can use Construction Management and other tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Sharepoint, MS Teams etc.
