Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Intermediate skill in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction/maintenance of facilities, grounds, and power distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of Government contracting terminologies and applications.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of environmental issues relating to contractual requirements.
  • Skill in the use of common office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and computers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive team atmosphere with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in English. Ability to interpret and implement complex regulatory standards into site operations
  • Ability to promote teamwork and cooperation across all levels to carry out regulatory compliance in accordance with contract requirements
  • Knowledge of accident investigation and reporting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Government contracting terminology and requirements
  • Knowledge of pertinent safety regulations and requirements necessary to perform the contractual obligations at this project location Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and/or Construction standards, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Department of Transportation (DOT) hazmat, and applicable environmental regulations
  • Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience Preferred
  • Experience with Quality Control/Assurance software Preferred
  • Basic skill in the use of Primavera P6 Preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, pipefitting, painting, and general construction activities Preferred
  • Basic skill in the use of RMS Preferred

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices to a board range of project assignments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Control program tailored to the contract and encompassing all facets of the operation.
  • Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings.
  • Inspect work in progress and finished work for discrepancies in accordance with the Quality Control Plan and contract requirements.
  • Prepare project audit schedules, discipline activity plans for the QA function, and audit reports (internal and external), noting nonconformance and verifying effective corrective action.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in developing an orientation program to ensure that the project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan, including other quality matters, if required.
  • Act as a quality auditor and may follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Report all issues, problems, accomplishments, and results of surveys, inspections, meetings, and observations relating to performance of the contract to the Project Manager.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices to a broad range of project assignments.
  • Plan and execute a wide variety of technical and administrative assignments; effectively communicates with department and project personnel regarding quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Use progressive work and educational experience to increase knowledge and improve expertise. Develop and implement safety procedures and policies. Write, update and enforce the Safety Plans as needed
  • Perform and document safety audits reporting findings to Project Manager
  • Investigate accidents and ensure any needed corrective actions are completed
  • Ensure project complies with all safety regulations
  • Coordinate with management, Human Resources and staff for workers compensation claims and actions. Develop activity hazard analysis (AHAs) to support restricted duty work assignments, claims management, and development of standard operating procedures
  • Perform safety surveys (e.g., noise surveys, air monitoring, time and motion studies, etc) to support personal protective equipment (PPE) policies
  • Develop, implement and maintain safety programs and documentation, including the following: medical surveillance, respiratory protection, confined space entry, hazardous energy (lockout/tagout), scaffolding, fall protection, ergonomics, personal protective equipment, hearing conservation, fire prevention, accident investigation and reporting hazard communication, electrical safety general procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
