Description:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • QQI Level 6 qualification (Diploma or higher) in Engineering or Science Discipline (Bio-Chemistry, Chemical, Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or other relevant technical background) or Diploma / Trade qualification with relevant experience in automation / system manufacturing or support.
  • Ideally possess relevant experience in the area of Quality Control and complex instrumentation inspection.
  • Must have strong trouble shooting & practical experience in instrument(s) and ability to anlayse data outputs for quality trends.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Possibility of shift work to meet supply demand.

The Quality team works cross functionally with engineering, production, & procurement with responsibilities focused on maintaining a high level of Quality from our suppliers & within our onsite manufacturing processes.
The Quality Technician will work primarily in relation to quality support activities in the manufacturing processes including QC product release, rejected material & analysis of warranty returns.
This role is responsible for a key support activity onsite supporting our Quality management system processes within an ISO 13485 & FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulatory environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Technical inspection of electro-mechanical parts & large in-vitro diagnostic instrumentation in a low volume, high complexity & highly regulated technology environment.
  • Support quality aspects of instrument manufacture & support resolution in a timely manner to ensure daily output targets are achieved.
  • Assess manufacturing outputs to verify instruments before shipment.
  • Completing, maintaining & reviewing all necessary paperwork, test data for each system/module to ensure that accurate Quality records are available.
  • Responsible for processing parts and instruments while meeting production output targets & assigned plant metrics.
  • Investigate root cause of failures for in process rejected parts and warranty return parts to a component level to ensure elimination of repeat failures.
  • Develop, improve & maintain good manufacturing practices & workmanship standards with a quality & process robustness focus.
  • Using theoretical knowledge & practical experience, establish causes of malfunction & non-conformance in the electrical, hydraulic & chemical operation of systems & modules.
  • Assist Engineering in the initial validation, installation & verification of new test procedures, equipment & products.
  • Where required, perform inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules & systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications & methodologies.
  • Reduce waste & improve performance using process & instrument knowledge while improving manufactured product quality.
