POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician responsible for setting up, configuring, loading firmware, and verifying equipment calibration for our clients across the country from a central fulfillment facility in Burnaby. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will configure and calibrate equipment for clients in the geospatial survey, mapping, and scanning industry

About you

We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual who can work within a team environment and can work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Minimum grade 12 high school diploma
  • Post-secondary education or experience as an Electronics Technician is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good mechanical aptitude & experience with hand tools
  • Knowledge of computer information systems and survey equipment an asset
  • Experience loading software/firmware onto field computer devices
  • Excellent verbal, phone, and email communication
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Update and Load software on devices
  • Verify Bluetooth connectivity
  • Inspect, and calibrate Geospatial Equipment and Systems
  • Configure Geospatial Equipment and Systems
  • Verify Communication with satellites
  • Maintain up-to-date equipment checklists
  • Verify, adjust, and calibrate rods, lasers and levels
  • Perform administration duties in SAP and Vendors Virtual Warehouse
