An exciting opportunity now exists for a hands on and dynamic individual to join Darrell Lea in the position of Quality Coordinator.
Based at Ingleburn and reporting to the Quality Manager, the primary objective of this role is to assist in all facets of food safety and quality as well as verifying compliance with Australian Standards, HACCP, NSW Food Authority and customer requirements as well as ensuring conformance to specifications, GMP, HACCP, BRC and process parameters.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Participate in HACCP reviews and assist in HACCP validation;
  • Conduct GMP and internal audits;
  • Assist with the development, implementation and adherence of the quality system procedures;
  • Educate and assist the factory employees to understand our food safety and quality requirements;
  • Maintenance of the document control database and the correct revision is available;
  • Review Production records and ensuring that documents are completed correctly;
  • Maintain retention samples in order;
  • Conduct product shelf life evaluation and keep records up to date;
  • Provide an update on rework status;
  • Monitor the performance of Trade Waste System;
  • Assist in the investigation of consumer complaints;
  • Initiate non-conformance requests where required;
  • Co-ordinate daily product review and assessment;
  • Organise instrument calibration as per schedule and maintain calibration records;
  • Inspect raw materials and packaging at receipt as required;
  • Review COA against specification and keep them up to date;
  • Identify process improvement opportunities;
