DESCRIPTION:

Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a dynamic Quality Engineer to join our team in Arlington, TX, providing essential support to the PAC3 Program. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Review documentation pertaining to internal and external manufacturing processes to guarantee the delivery of quality products to customers.
Provide support to Integrated Product Teams by reviewing quality data, yields, schematics, simulations, test data, qualification reports, configuration audits, drawing reviews, rework, scrap, and non-conformance.
Analyze and resolve process issues ranging from basic to highly complex.
Lead and attend program part reviews and Failure Review Board meetings, identifying trends, assisting in problem resolution, and ensuring commitments are met by responsible parties.
Participate actively in Preliminary Material Review Boards and potentially Material Review Boards, including dispositioning non-conforming hardware in SAP, identifying hardware containment requirements, and ensuring appropriate root cause and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Perform and participate in assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 standards.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel to address quality-related issues.
Utilize lean initiatives to minimize waste and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to establish new processes, fulfill contractual requirements, implement corrective actions, and provide technical liaison support.
Make final decisions on product acceptability using measurement tools, drawings, and work instructions.
Develop and review quality standards, drawings, methods, work instructions, and procedures for the production of manufactured and procured products.
Conduct failure troubleshooting throughout the production process.
Facilitate and present in meetings on a weekly basis.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure quality standards are implemented and maintained throughout the production process.
Analyze program, quality process, and supplier performance, identify adverse trends, understand/identify risks, and drive effective corrective actions and overall process improvements.
This position will require minimum 25% travel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or higher education from an accredited college in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, etc.)
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Knowledgeable of AS9100 standard and implementation of Quality Management System
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products (electronic assemblies)
Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning
Understanding of Configuration Management and control processes
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to travel (up to 25%)

DESIRED SKILLS:

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional and procedures for inspection
An understanding of SAP
Experience with control and disposition of nonconforming material
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, and presentation
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills
