Description:

This position applies intensive and diversified knowledge of Quality principles and practices to a broad range of project assignments. This role plans and executes a wide variety of technical and administrative assignments and effectively interacts with others. This position may serve as Office Quality Manager for Medium to Major Execution Office or Project Quality Representative on small to medium projects.

  • Communicate effectively with department and project personnel regarding Quality policies and procedures
  • Review design and procurement documents for quality assurance element compliance with quality program requirements
  • Assist the Corrective Action Program Administrator in classifying and evaluating issues and actions documented in the program
  • Assist (if directed by senior Quality management) the Project Manager in developing an orientation program to ensure that the project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Nuclear Quality Program; including other Quality matters, if required
  • Act as a Quality auditor and may follow up on audit findings and corrective actions
  • Assess the ability of suppliers to meet the Quality requirements of project procurement documents
  • Assist in the maintenance of project Quality records for all phases of the project
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required
  • Nuclear Construction experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering/technical preferred
  • Advanced degree in engineering discipline/technical field, or administration area preferred
  • Working knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR830, ASME NQA-1, DOE O414.1D
  • Professional engineering registration preferred
  • Related certification by outside agency (e.g., Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB), American Society for Quality (ASQ), International Quality Associates (IQA), etc.) preferred
  • Seven (7) years of related Quality/project experience
  • Moderate interpersonal and communication skills
  • Moderate leadership and decision-making skills
