ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Quality Engineer works within the Inchinnan HSSEQ team in support of all manufacturing activities and projects at Inchinnan. Engages on a regular basis with Engineering, Project Management, Stores and Manufacturing leads and reports to the Quality Manager.
The purpose of the Quality Engineer’s role is to support all Inchinnan’s manufacturing and projects, in conformance with the requirements of all international and industry standards, in addition to specific customer/governmental requirements.
These activities will include internal audits, witnessing tests, and may involve some travel to suppliers and trials.
The QA Engineer is pivotal to JFD’s operations both in-house and with our customers.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
- Document quality issues, raise non-conformances and other concerns, support assigned projects as principal QA contact.
- Communicate with suppliers when investigating supplier quality issues and address in a timely manner, proactively and professionally engaging production, engineering and all other disciplines as required.
- Actively engage in contributing and promoting a positive HSE&S culture to deliver performance, improvements and continually reduce risk, eliminate hazards where possible and prevent injury or ill health whether to themselves or to others who may be affected by their work.
