Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As our Quality Engineer, you will focus on quality improvement, measurement, training, and process documentation, touching all departments of the Producing Organization relative to leading quality improvement. You will proactively work towards disruption elimination from both the employee and customer perspective in support of the goal to “Satisfy Every Customer, Every Time”. Additionally, you will monitor and report performance against established milestones and KPIs, work across departments to achieve state performance objectives, and identify areas for improvement in process control to eliminate disturbances. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Handling Nonconformance (NC) and Corrective and Preventable Action (CAPA) education and processing management by interfacing with both internal and external suppliers concerning quality problems and/or audit findings to ensure effective implementation of corrective action.
  • Prioritizing and utilizing the SAP data rich system to drive proactive improvements for both internal and external customers.
  • Representing the Quality function in new product introduction (NPI) projects advising product requirement assurance strategies.
  • Developing prioritized Cost of Poor Quality Reports and leveraging the data to lead targeted improvement opportunities for part (rework and scrap), process, and customer facing performance.
  • Implementing quality and cost improvement projects, including designing and implementing methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
  • Participating in the improvement of audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction, routinely performing internal, in process, and vendor audits as necessary.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or life science related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a quality setting.
  • Tier 1 ERP experience, ideally SAP.
  • Understanding of Fishbone diagrams.
  • Technical background with a deep understanding of analytics and how to process data, especially using Excel.
  • Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and driving quality improvements.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills.
