What to Expect
Support the production of high quality seats assembly through the continual improvement of process and product quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead efforts with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and production teams to ensure design drawings, manufacturing instructions, inspection instructions, tooling are consistent and complete
  • Lead problem-solving teams; use of QA methodologies to manage and facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigations and the development, implementation and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Support the development of Design and Process FMEAs
  • Establish and maintain control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the assembly/production processes
  • Conducting the capability studies and implementing SPC’s controls
  • Lead/facilitate review and disposition of discrepant materials identified for control of nonconforming product
  • Establish quality performance metrics and drive issues to true root cause solutions
  • Audit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Lead/perform product containment activities and arrange for disposition
  • Support and generate continuous improvement ideas and work on cost reduction projects

What You’ll Bring

  • BS/MS Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive seating or interiors (JIT preferred)
  • Familiarity with compliances and Legal requirement of automotive seating regulation
  • Experience in GD&T and Quality systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Training and demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, Six Sigma etc.

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
