This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer),
Current methods do not totally minimize and or eliminate the risk of defects being shipped to our internal customers. We’re creating a project to identify the actions required to close these gaps in the most efficient and effective manner.
The Co-Op will work as the project lead with support as needed from the Quality Engineer’s, Quality Management Teile’s (part managers) and the Op-Lead. The Co-Op will be responsible for developing and supporting with the implementation of the new enhancements.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute and improve in the following functions:

  • Process improvements relating to identification and containment of quality issues.
  • Process improvements relating to preventing quality topics from occurring.
  • Developing process and system standards.
  • Lead project relating to Poke Yoke and quality containment.
  • Analyze data of quality topics and implement improvements.
  • Work with Quality Engineers to create technical solutions

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • PLC or low-level programming experience.
  • Problem Solving Techniques.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions.
  • Completion of at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
