We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle as a Quality Inspector I in our Aerospace Division. This is an ideal role for someone who has previous quality inspection experience in aerospace, basic knowledge of inspection devices and tools, possesses strong math skills, and who has the ability to work well with employees at all levels in each department who come from various backgrounds as noted in the job description below. The ideal candidate is also motivated and driven by self-improvement, and is a self starter who is very reliable.
Please Note: This role is for the hours of 3:30 pm to 11 pm M-F with a 7% shift differential and a paid lunch.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Shop math preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inspection devices and tools required.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and teamwork.
  • Ability to work well with employees at all levels in each department who come from various backgrounds and may require special communication methods, (i.e. Braille, large print, interpreter, voice only) required.
  • Basic PC skills such as Microsoft Suites and data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to follow clear instructions and provide prompt feedback or results.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

Performs various inspections to determine acceptability of manufactured products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspects and determines acceptability per customer requirements.
  • Performs receiving, first part, in-process, and final inspections of simple items.
  • Understands customer requirements and assures compliance to standards.
  • Verify that all required documentation is completed to assure process control.
  • Assists Quality Engineer and others on corrective action.
  • Continuing education classes will be required.
  • Assist in detecting problems and confer with lead or supervisor to resolve.
  • Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
