Responsibilities:

ROLE:

The Quality Lab Manager’s role is to oversee daily Quality Lab operations, including the supervision of all aspects and testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with and coach all Quality associates to ensure compliance with all plant, and Occupational Health & Safety policies.
  • Perform all duties of a manager as outlined in the Internal Responsibilities section of the AirBoss Health & Safety program manual.
  • Serve as a resource for Quality Lab team. Communicate company policy, decisions, and change positively and directly.
  • Coordinate with Segment Managers and Manufacturing Managers and production on quality issues.
  • Maintain and implement procedures and work instructions for the Quality Lab
  • Maintain lab specifications, review of specifications,
  • Maintain finishing specifications where applicable
  • Coordinate the disposition of non-conforming material with the Segment Managers
  • Maintain calibrations of the Quality Lab equipment and make sure all equipment is working properly
  • Member of ISO Quality Core Team and participate as a Certified ISO auditor and also an auditor for Health & Safety
  • Member of the Health and Safety committee
  • Lead the Quality Whiteboard meetings on a daily, or as needed basis
  • Discuss Quality Lab associate performance regularly, teaching, coaching where appropriate.
  • Complete a formal performance evaluation for each Quality Lab Technician once per year.
  • Holiday Scheduling
  • Provide daily First Pass Yield reports
  • Monthly and Quarterly Statistical Analysis for Customers
  • Communicates with customers (Testing, Non Conforming,)
  • Act as the designate for the Quality Manager, in their absence.
  • Monthly Reports
  • Additional duties as assigned.
