Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Care lead at Yarl’s Wood IRC.
We are looking to recruit an innovative Quality Care Lead to drive the existing multi-disciplinary team currently in place.
Yarl’s Wood IRC is an immigration removal centre with a total operational capacity of 476 residents. Yarl’s Wood holds a majority of male IRC residents, a small unit for male short term holds and a new unit for up to 58 female IRC residents.
Main duties of role
Assist in the development of clinical audits.
Review completed audits and take action to make improvements to the service.
Complete audits in line with the audit schedule.
Create, oversee, and participate in clinical audits.
Participate in research and project work as required.
Assist in the development of audit schedules and templates.
Focus on quality within the department and ensuring standards are met.
Responsible for collating and reporting within own area.
Provide advice and guidance to staff within own area of specialty and around auditing and improvements.
Supervise staff in line with supervision structure. Ensuring these are completed in line with NHFT guidelines.
Develop and support the concept of change, contributing ideas whilst demonstrating awareness of security issues.
Responsibility within management team for the effective day to say operational management of healthcare services.
Ensure targets are met and waiting lists are effectively monitored.
Ensuring compliance with the essential standards of quality and safety.
Demonstrate leadership qualities and always set an example to staff.
