THE PERSON

So, who are we looking for?

  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 and VDA 6.2/ 6.3 internal auditor qualification
  • Previous experience of quality management from a large manufacturing/ logistics site
  • Fluent in English and ideally German
  • Experience of managing teams and developing quality processes
  • A strong understanding of LEAN processes and the ability to implement in a complex site
  • Good understanding of HSE law and experience of managing HSE within a warehouse or manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:

These are exciting times for DP World, we are in the process of expanding our footprint in the Europe and undertaking major plans and wins to achieve double digit growth. As part of this plan we have just won business in Debrecen which means that we will have a major warehouse being built in the area. As part of this plan we are looking for a QM, HSE and Lean Manager to manage all of the quality, HSE and Lean plans for the warehouse.
As part of this role you will be in charge of the full compliance and enforcement of quality standards and quality regulations. You will also be monitoring all of the quality management standards and provide appropriate countermeasures in case of deviations. You will also manage the quality team to make sure that all quality issues that are being managed by the team and being correctly looked after. The quality element of the role will take up most of your time and will involve the bulk of your activity.
Within the LEAN part of the role you will be building the system that will be monitoring, optimising and developing process, systems and interfaces. This will ensure that the operational areas are working as efficiently as possible and providing productivity gains for the business.
As the HSE Manager for the site you will be managing the safety protocols and will be monitoring all of the safety processes to provide improvements where it is needed. Safety is paramount within the site and you will make sure health and safety is kept top of mind for all employees.
