QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Formal Qualifications And Experience
  • Degree in Quality or other similar Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience in quality control
  • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial/ coordination role, preferably in packaging of pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.

  • Specific Skills And Abilities

  • Proficiency in quality assurance techniques, including statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Strong understanding of quality principles, methodologies and tools (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience with quality management system such ISO 9001.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and influence stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure that all aspects of manufacturing are geared towards enhancing quality standards of products and services rendered in order to contribute to the optimization of quality, operational / manufacturing excellence, cost efficiency of operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance throughout our plant operations. The Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining product integrity, meeting requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to monitor all stages of the process, from raw materials to finished products
  • Monitor and manage quality incidents and customer feedback related to product quality. Work closely with other teams to address issues and implement corrective actions. Support the implementation and follow up of the corrective actives.
  • Customer technical support and assistance (including claims, trainings, logistics, audits, specification)
  • Ensure plant operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and certifications (including ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and other certifications).
  • Develop and manage quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the plant. Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards for incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier evaluations to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Provide training and support to plant personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate reports and present findings to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality documentation including inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible and complain to the audit standards.
