Description:

Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering and Manufacturing division have a unique and exciting role with a leading manufacturer, to recruit a Quality Manager at their Chesterfield site. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in metallurgy and manufacturing processes, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Reporting into the sites senior engineering team, the quality manager will have a large amount of autonomy to manage product quality as well as the Quality Management System.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Manager include:

  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and optimize production efficiency
  • Management of team of Quality Professionals
  • Manage quality defects and liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve them

The Quality Manager should possess:

  • Ability to manage in fast paced manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgy, metal forming processes, and quality assurance principles.
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing quality control systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements
