We’re seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Quality Manager for MDS – UK. This position is based in Derby, UK and is your gateway to steering our Quality and Environmental Management Systems toward success.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager of Support, this role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems standards, including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO17025, and customer requirements.

  • Ensure adherence to QEMS standards and procedures. Managing the documentation of Quality, Environmental, and Calibration Management System policies, procedures, and templates.
  • Overseeing external Quality and Environmental audit events, including customer and environmental compliance audits.
  • Planning, monitoring, and participating in internal audits of the Quality, Environmental, and Calibration Management System.
  • Managing the Corrective and Preventive Action system.
  • Coordinating and participating in the monitoring, measurement, and analysis of process performance.
  • Managing vendor quality performance through audits, technical assessments, and surveillance activities.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by developing, analyzing, and implementing proposals for business and operational processes.
  • Providing analysis and developing solutions for process and product nonconformance.
  • Planning, preparing, conducting, coordinating, and assessing the effectiveness of Quality, Environmental, and Calibration training programs.
  • Chairing periodic Management Review meetings and reporting on the performance of the Quality, Environmental, and Calibration system, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of training/competency records.
  • Overseeing subcontractors for third-party services and exercising calibration signing authority.
