Description:

Collects data through electronic medical records for data submission to various national/federal/state registries , communicates daily quality report issues, creates feedback reports for providers and leadership to review monthly. Works with physician and management leadership to identify and coordinate p erformance improvement efforts based on outcomes reporting. Based on a thorough understanding of the quality measure components, responds to all requests for information to include: c linical interpretation of data element definitions; d ata submission process; d ata quality; c omparative i nstitutional r eport interpretation; and u se of outcome reports for quality measurement and improvement . Develops training and provides education related to improving performance on clinical quality indicators to staff, departments, physicians. Ensures abstracted clinical data is valid, reliable, and can be accessed rapidly. Maintains information system security and patient confidentiality. Meets deadlines for abstraction and submission of data as established by internal expectations and external regulations.

Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL TASKS

  • Collects data through electronic medical records for data submission to various national/federal/state registries.
  • Communicates daily quality report issues.
  • Assists Service Line Coordinators through providing feedback reports for providers and leadership to review monthly
  • Works with physician and management leadership to identify and coordinate p erformance improvement efforts based on outcomes reporting.
  • Identifies potential product/services and follows up with department directors to assist in the implementation of new programs.
  • Demonstrates a consistent level of performance & maintains progress on multiple projects regularly
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of data gathering
  • Has a working knowledge of computer operations to analyze and evaluate data
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy consistently. Conveys accurate and timely information to leadership.
  • Participate in the evaluation of improving performance on clinical quality indicators to staff, departments and physicians.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare setting is required.
