SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3 years grain quality experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with quality control in a grain supply chain
  • Understanding of export requirments
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • Sound knowledge of grain industry standards
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role required, qualifications preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead people
  • Experience in reviewing and delivering training courses, qualifications preferred

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Viterra is seeking a quality supervisor to ensure that laboratory classification tasks are performed accurately with data analysed and reported in a timely manner. Reporting to the quality services manager the role is responsible for liaising with laboratory staff and the wider business regarding grain quality, processes and protocol and reporting.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Supervising, coordinating and conducting grain classification activities in Laboratory
  • Implementing best practice methods
  • Supporting and mentoring employees involved in grain classification throughout the business
  • Reviewing classification training materials, manuals, charts and other materials
  • Facilitating training courses
  • Maintaining classification equipment calibration, servicing and troubleshooting requirements
  • Staff rostering and KPI reporting
  • Ensuring laboratory consumables for grain classification activities are maintained and stocked
