This position plays a crucial role with the development, deployment and oversight of global processes, including tools, methods, training and systems. These processes are the foundation of the Quality Management System used to effectively ensure a consistent high level of quality, reliability, and performance of Plexus products and services. This role is responsible to uphold and govern compliance to internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with subject matter experts globally to ensure processes are standardized and effectively implemented to achieve expected results.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Process Management – Identify innovative process improvements and lead the planning, implementation, and management of changes and associated risks, ensuring global quality processes are effectively implemented, compliant with governing requirements and aligned with business needs.
  • Measurement, Monitoring and Oversight – Lead the development, deployment and oversight of said metrics to monitor effective implementation and standardization. Collect, compile, and analyze data to identify and facilitate innovative and proactive process improvements with key stakeholders.
  • Change Agent - Lead continual improvement activities, including the creation, development, and implementation of process changes to optimize productivity and reduce defects.
  • Quality & Regulatory knowledge – Maintain subject matter expertise in internal and external quality and regulatory requirements. Mentor/Coach and provide training/direction/guidance to regional and site management teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic development – Contribute to strategic direction and decisions related to Quality Management System structure, processes and continual improvement to ensure the current and future needs of the business are met.
  • Audits - Lead (i.e. plan, coordinate, conduct, report) internal audits, and host external audits/regulatory-inspections of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to key standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, & AS9100).

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

A combination of education, experience, and time in field will be taken into consideration, and internal candidates may have distinct requirements tailored to their demonstrated skills and contributions within the organization.

  • Advanced quality planning skills.
  • Expert working knowledge of Quality Management System standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO13485).
  • Expert and demonstrated Lean concepts and tools.
  • Advanced cross-functional team building skills across multiple sites/regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to quantify and assess benefits/risks of process improvements.
  • Problem Solving - Ability to identify a problem, gather and analyze information to identify Root Cause and develop effective solutions.
  • Interpersonal Communication - The ability to listen and clearly communicate in an empathic, personable and succinct manner.
  • Demonstrated resilience - Handles adversity and quickly recovers from difficulties with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently & self-driven - Ability to prioritize work in an organized fashion without specific direction or supervision.
