Description:

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing / engineering / industrial site-based environment
  • Experience of working with mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Capacity to learn to use different measurement equipment (Vision Measuring Machine, Comparator, Micrometres, gages, etc)
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and adapt to shifting business priorities
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards
  • Listening, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret quality standards and work orders, ability to communicate clearly with production team on quality issues

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Stakeholder awareness
  • Work as part of a team or independently
  • A good level of IT competence in Microsoft packages, Dynamics would be advantageous
  • Excellent time management skills and a willingness to remain flexible

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform stack strip activities as directed by the Quality Engineering Team
  • Perform in-process and final QC inspections of parts and assemblies by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests
  • Document and communicate any deviations to Quality Manager and others
  • Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimise risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health and Environment issues
  • To achieve set productivity targets
  • Identify and support continuous improvement activates
  • Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to Team Leader and/or Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required
  • Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area

Your main responsibilities are to;

  • Support defective stack strip activities
  • Assist in the compilation of strip reports
  • Identification of defects
  • Support product inspection and measurement activitie
