Description:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working in a manufacturing / engineering / industrial site-based environment
- Experience of working with mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Capacity to learn to use different measurement equipment (Vision Measuring Machine, Comparator, Micrometres, gages, etc)
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and adapt to shifting business priorities
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards
- Listening, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret quality standards and work orders, ability to communicate clearly with production team on quality issues
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Able to communicate effectively
- Stakeholder awareness
- Work as part of a team or independently
- A good level of IT competence in Microsoft packages, Dynamics would be advantageous
- Excellent time management skills and a willingness to remain flexible
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform stack strip activities as directed by the Quality Engineering Team
- Perform in-process and final QC inspections of parts and assemblies by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests
- Document and communicate any deviations to Quality Manager and others
- Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimise risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health and Environment issues
- To achieve set productivity targets
- Identify and support continuous improvement activates
- Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to Team Leader and/or Supervisor, participating in the resolution as required
- Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards within work area
Your main responsibilities are to;
- Support defective stack strip activities
- Assist in the compilation of strip reports
- Identification of defects
- Support product inspection and measurement activitie
