We are looking for a Quality Technician for a one (1) year contract.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or related field of study.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in Plastics, Flexible Packaging or Food Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, HACCP/GMP/Food Safety Standards
  • Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma and Quality Tolls

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality testing, in-process and final inspections of finished products to ensure they conform to industry and company standards.
  • Review supplier COAs, perform quality testing and inspection of raw materials as required.
  • Coordinate containment/sorting activities and follow-up to ensure Quarantined products are dispositioned in a timely manner.
  • Create Quality Alerts and review NCRs and Customer Complaints with the Production team.
  • Assist with internal & third-party quality/food safety audits (ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000)
  • Coordinate with the Production departments to investigate internal NCRs, determine root cause and identify CAPA
  • Monitor status report progress of corrective actions, prepare reports and presentations.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in managing Customer complaints and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented CAPA.
  • Participate in trials and test runs, validate new products, and conduct process capability studies.
  • Review process control charts (SPC), collect and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Review and update QMS documentation (SOP, WI, Standards), Process FMEA, Inspection and Test Plans, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts and Running Line Standards.
  • Train production employees on QMS documentation, Customer, and Industry requirements
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to continuously improve the manufacturing process, product quality and reduce defects/variation.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Quality Manager.
