Job Description
Primary functions of this role include:
Respond to issues in the Distribution Center that affect the on-time shipment and customer satisfaction, implementing the necessary corrective actions. Assist in the execution and response of purges, inspection flags, interruptions, CCARs, deviations, material review board (MRB) and customer surveys items in a timely manner. Liaise with Inventory to ensure material control of the MRB area. Support the ISO program at the Distribution Center, including internal auditing. Assist with third-party Audits. Maintain the Quality KPI metrics within goal. Support and facilitate continuous improvement activities across departments. Ensure that all applicable processes and procedures are followed. Provide support to the DC when procedures need to be updated. Assist with the implementation of Quality Alerts in the DC. Participate in daily Gemba and prepare quality related data for presentation. Perform other duties and tasks as directed by the Quality Control Engineering Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High energy, independent and self-motivated individual. SAP knowledge. Must have outstanding attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required. Understanding of order processing. Technical skills and ability to understand documents and work instructions.
Minimum education and work experience required:
Experience of working in SAP is a plus. 1- 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution center environments. Exposure to quality tools and techniques such root cause and corrective actions. Familiarity with quality management system, including ISO9001 and ISO14001. Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to peers and customers. Basic knowledge of quality tools or problem-solving techniques. Proficient in Microsoft office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
