Description:

Our client, a prestigious long-only fund, is seeking a Quantitative Investment Strategist to support the portfolio manager, chief investment officer, and the team.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • A Ivy League/Oxbridge university degree or equivalent with a focus in finance, computer science, or a quantitative background
  • CFA or post-graduate investment-related studies will be considered favorably
  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience in public equities
  • Experience in AI and big data within the investment industry is essential
  • Good team player with strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with a range of financial models, software & databases
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written

MANAGERIAL SKILLS:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication ability to garner stakeholders buy-in

IT SKILLS:

  • Bloomberg
  • Datastream
  • Microsoft Words/Excel/PowerPoint
  • The ability to code in Python or C++ is critical

Responsibilities:

  • Produce proposals for new investments, conduct investment research, ESG research, and due diligence of investment agreement/legal documentation
  • Create and manage Excel models and other analytical tools as necessary to analyze performance and investment risks
  • Maintain up-to-date data on investments, monitor risk exposures & performances, and manage portfolio actions
  • Develop robust financial models and conduct quantitative analysis such as cash flow modeling for private investments, DCF analysis, factor analysis, and sensitivity analysis
  • Execute regular and ad hoc processes as required and assist in any other special assignments as required from time to time
