Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

MELSA is conducting the performance evaluation of Private Sector Engagement (PSE). This evaluation aims to gather evidence about the results and lessons of USAID/Colombia’s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) and the sustainability of its interventions during the current Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) timeframe. In addition, this evaluation should outline the Mission’s PSE approach and provide evidence of good practices, opportunities for improvement, and course correction actions that can inform USAID interventions with a PSE component and the next CDCS (2025- 2030).
In 2018, the Agency launched the PSE Policy. USAID/Colombia has prioritized and recognized the importance of aligning with the policy’s four principles: 1. Engage early and often; 2. Incentivize and value PSE throughout planning and programming; 3. Expand the use of USAID approaches and tools that unlock the potential of the private sector; and 4. Build and act on the evidence of what works and what does not in PSE. The proposed evaluation would cover USAID/Colombia’s alignment with the PSE policy and provide new evidence on the conditions, drivers, results, and sustainability of this approach.
As part of the evaluation team, MELSA seeks a quantitative specialist. The following are some of the key responsibilities and requirements for the position.
