Description:

QUANTITY SURVEYING (PRE & POST CONTRACT)

  • Carry out quantity take-off for project which includes sourcing for supplier and sub-contractor, collate price for comparison
  • Prepare tender and contract documents
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tender
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control
  • Responsible for collecting, sorting, check other bidding calculation of quantities
  • Accountable for reviewing tender documents, drawings and quantity taking-off
  • Prepare quotations for various technical works, material, manpower etc
  • Sourcing of Subcontractors and suppliers
  • Evaluation of price comparison
  • Estimation for variations submissions
  • Monitoring of project variations
  • Valuing completed works and preparing subcontractor’s payment
  • Attendance of site/technical meetings including preparation of debrief
  • Conducting site measurements
  • Review and understand all plans and specifications
  • Arranging meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to review the specifications, scope of works and method of construction if required
  • Preparation of Tender Queries

PURCHASING

  • Overall management of the day-to-day purchasing activities
  • Creating purchase orders, track orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods or services including oversea purchases, shipment and etc
  • Building and maintaining relationship with suppliers, evaluating their performances and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Negotiating terms and conditions, including price, delivery schedules, and quality standards, as suppliers
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and developing procurements plan and strategies to meet those needs
  • Monitoring budgets, analyzing spending patterns and seeking cost saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiations
  • Maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet demands while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information, and preparing reports on purchasing activities, performance metrics and cost savings
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by the management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree or Diploma in Building/ Quantity Surveying.
  • Min 5 years’ experience, preferably from Main Contractor
  • Well-versed in both Contracts Administration and Tenders
  • Experience in purchasing is added advantage
  • Possess good negotiation and coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate with people from all levels.
  • Meticulous, analytical with excellent problem solving skills, proactive, good team player and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
