Description:
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with HQ Contracts & Solutions teams to develop strategies and processes to mitigate risk
- Involved in tender and pre-contract process, contract administration and claims
- Liaise with consultants to establish client requirements and prepare tender submissions
- Evaluate and review tender drawings for discrepancies and quantity take-offs, prepare bills of quantities, source and select sub-contractors
- Compile and evaluate quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers according to tender requirements
- Allocate work to sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring prompt and quality delivery according to contractual obligations
- Analyse, track and monitor expenses and project costs to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and successful project delivery
- Manage and evaluate variation request order, assess and obtain approval for associated variation costs
- Negotiate with clients and resolve contract issues and disputes. Advise and resolve contract disputes and claims, and monitor progress of claim and payment
- Monitor progress claims and validate sub-contractor and supplier warranties
- Review and verify architecture, civil, and structural work to ensure compliance with local construction regulations
- Work closely with Project Manager to manage project budgets, cost comparisons, variation orders, and purchase orders
- Establish relationships with consultants, sub-contractors and other parties involved in project delivery
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building/Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in project tender and claims, primarily in M&E.
- Experience in Microsoft Office i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge in project management tools, solutions, and techniques are highly desirable
- Safety Awareness is required at all times
- Familiar with Authority Requirement and Code of Practice is preferred
- Must have good interpersonal, communication and people management skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Able to commit to long working hours & responsive to client’s urgent request
